Description: The Microchip MCP3421A0T-E/CH is a high – performance 18 – bit sigma – delta analog – to – digital converter. It features a single channel with differential inputs, which enhances its noise – immunity capabilities. The device comes in a compact SOT – 23 – 6 package, making it suitable for space – constrained applications. It has an on – board precision 2.048V reference voltage, enabling an input range of ±2.048 V differentially (Δ voltage = 4.096 V). The on – board programmable gain amplifier (PGA) allows users to select gains of x1, x2, x4, or x8, enabling high – resolution conversion of smaller input signals. It operates from a single power supply with a voltage range of 2.7V to 5.5V and has a wide operating temperature range from – 40 °C to + 125 °C. The MCP3421A0T – E/CH supports I2C serial interface and offers programmable data rate options of 3.75 SPS (18 bits), 15 SPS (16 bits), 60 SPS (14 bits), and 240 SPS (12 bits).
